Job summary

Cacique Foods LLC seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 3rd shift in Amarillo, TX. The role ensures finished products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements, while leading QC technicians and coordinating inspections.

You will implement GMP/HACCP programs, manage testing documentation, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with production and sanitation teams. HACCP/PCQI certifications and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum five (5) years in quality control or assurance in food laboratory testing environment.
• One (1) year of leadership experience
• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP) Certification required, Food Defense Certification, (FDC) preferred
• Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, quality management systems, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Knowledge of microbiological and chemical testing methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the release of finished goods in accordance with organizational procedures and processes.
• Lead and manage quality control technicians and inspectors
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback
• Develop and monitor individual development plans (IDPs) and track progress
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures aligned with GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards
• Guiding activities and behaviors in compliance throughout facility operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, testing, and corrective actions
• Oversee inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods
• Approve inspection reports, product release documents, and quality records
• Coordinate with third-party labs for product testing when needed
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions
• Identify trends in defects and implement solutions to reduce non-conformance
• Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to optimize quality processes
• Perform other job functions as related to the position assigned by management.
