Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Warehouse Team Member specialized in forklift operation to safely move materials within our food manufacturing facilities. You will perform loading, unloading, and general warehouse tasks while adhering to safety, GMPs, and USDA/FSIS guidelines.

Responsibilities include inventory recordkeeping, occasional counts, labeling, and collaboration with team members to ensure timely, efficient workflows. Overtime and non-standard hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in food manufacturing or similar production preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse/manufacturing setting (food industry preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and GMPs.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials and products.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves using the forklift.
• Transport materials to storage areas or production lines per work orders.
• Conduct pre-operational forklift checks and maintain equipment.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Record inventory movements and assist with periodic counts.
• Perform duties such as picking, packing, and labeling as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
