Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the daily assembly team operations at our facility.

You will assign tasks, guide staff, and ensure production targets and safety protocols are met while maintaining regulatory compliance with USDA and OSHA standards. You will analyze production and labor reports to meet targets, assist with interviewing and training, and collaborate with supervisors and Team Member Services on staff relations and investigations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 18+ months of food production facility experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, environmental health and safety, and OSHA.
• Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in select Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); and ability to learn custom applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the assembly team, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure production targets and safety protocols are met.
• Assist leadership to ensure USDA manufacturing facility production team operates safely and complies with regulatory and safety standards.
• Analyze production reports, inventory management reports, and labor to meet targets.
• Interview, select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members to build a high-performing team and minimize turnover.
• Collaborate with Assembly Supervisors and TMS on Team Member relations, including documentation, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Provide leadership oversight of ILA, metal detection, and checkweighing during assembly.
