Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Manager Food Pantry to oversee all pantry operations, inventory, and budgeting for the hospital’s food pantry. The role includes tracking patients, coordinating with the Greater Boston Food Bank, and supervising staff and volunteers to meet diverse dietary needs.

The position involves coordinating donations, engaging with community partners, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Nutrition or Food Service Management preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience in food and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Order and shop for food supplies to stock pantry.
• Train staff and volunteers in dietary restrictions and requirements.
• Process all business transactions in computerized system using Excel and Word.
• Complete payroll time sheets, monthly reports, and update participation records.
• Enter progress notes in EMR and coordinate volunteer opportunities.
• Distribute food supplies to clients per dietary prescriptions; coordinate deliveries.
