Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston seeks a Food Pantry Program Manager to lead the Yawkey Pantry operations, ensuring efficient sourcing, storage, and distribution of nutritious food at scale. You will collaborate with the Director of Food Security to translate strategy into action, enhance service delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

The role demands strong leadership, compliance with safety standards, and experience in coordinating donors and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, public admin, nonprofit management, nutrition, public health, social work, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, food systems, or large-scale program management.
• Experience supervising staff and managing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with donors, government institutions, and external partners.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of food security programs including procurement, inventory, transportation, distribution, and partner coordination.
• Lead development and enforcement of SOPs for food handling, transportation, and storage operations and volunteer management.
• Ensure activities meet food safety standards, quality guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage end-to-end food supply chain workflows: sourcing, vendor relations, deliveries, storage, routing, and last-mile distribution.
• Optimize logistics to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure reliable access to nutritious food.
• Oversee transportation planning, including driver scheduling and maintenance.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to staff and volunteers.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff and volunteers.
