Job summary

Community Action Partnerships of Western Nebraska (CAPWN) seeks a Food Programs Coordinator to manage the Food Pantry and CSFP operations. You will ensure food assistance is provided efficiently, respectfully, and in compliance with federal and state requirements.

You will collaborate with partners, supervise monthly package preparation, and help grow food resources while maintaining participant data and adherence to CAPWN policies.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of inventory management duties or client certification preferred.
  • Proficient oral and written communication.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel outside the service area.
  • Able to operate a forklift and obtain certification within 3 months.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of CAPWN's Food Pantry and CSFP.
  • Inspect, store, rotate and document inventory; conduct routine counts.
  • Oversee CSFP eligibility, certification, recertification, and distribution.
  • Coordinate purchase of supplemental food within approved budgets.
  • Maintain participant, inventory, and program data in required systems.
  • Supervise monthly CSFP food package preparation and distribution.
  • Develop relationships with grocery stores, food banks and partners.
  • Coordinate CSFP satellite sites and home delivery efforts.
