Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a General Labor to support production and packaging operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Chicago, IL. The role involves bagging, weighing, labeling, and stacking finished goods, with rotating duties across lines and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in packaging environments; forklift certification may be required. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
• Ability to operate packaging and warehouse equipment (scales, label printers, forklifts).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment, including bagging machines, scales, and label printers.
• Dump and verify ingredients according to batch tickets to ensure recipe accuracy.
• Load materials into hoppers and assist with blending processes as required.
• Ensure products are filled, weighed, sealed, and labeled correctly.
• Verify batch numbers, product codes, and labels match the product being processed.
• Monitor metal detection systems and ensure products pass inspection.
• Stack finished bags on pallets per specifications and rotate positions across lines.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow GMPs and LOTO procedures as required.
