Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company in Arkansas seeks a reliable Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor high-speed coffee processing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced facility. You will ensure safety, quality, and production targets while following standard procedures and keeping accurate records. This role requires a basic math skillset, mechanical aptitude, and strong teamwork.

Shift: First. Starting pay rate: $22.01 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED
• 1–2 years experience in food manufacturing
• Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and following instructions
• Good leadership and training skills
• Ability to promote Westrock Coffee values and work culture
• Ability to collaborate across the operation to hit goals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow specifications and manuals
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple repairs

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment safely and efficiently to hit production/waste goals
• Completes all required documentation and checklists related to equipment operation
• Interprets work orders and instructions to ensure correct materials and specifications
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic-to-moderate operation difficulties
• Ensures coffee has adequate time to gas-off
• Performs change-overs and coordinates with line support for materials
• Programs packaging machines based on manufacturing specifications
• Adjusts packaging equipment for correct case size
• Controls coffee per package without stopping production to meet ranges
• Manages packaging: closes boxes, labels, and passes through tape machine
• Performs visual, weight, and seal inspections of packages
• Identifies and segregates nonconforming goods
• Moves boxes from conveyor to pallets and records pallet data
• Records downtime with explanations
• Submits maintenance requests when needed
• Cleans machines and work area to prevent dust
• Checks packaging machines and completes changeover sheets
• Collects samples for quality assurance
• Follows quality and safety protocols with PPE and organized work areas
• Performs other duties as assigned
