Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is hiring Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for our 101 Kindig Lane facility. This full-time role supports automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, with a focus on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

The position offers a Friday-Sunday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM shift, a competitive sign-on and retention bonus, and opportunities to grow within a heritage snack company committed to quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical).
• Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet.
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
• Work with PLCs, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
• Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep lines running.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Install conduit, EMT, and sealtite for system upgrades.
