Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Technician, Food to join our team in a range of hours on a part-time or full-time basis. The role involves handling samples, performing analyses and reporting data in accordance with Laboratory Operating Procedures.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, interest in Microbiology/Chemistry, and be able to work varied schedules, including Saturdays. SGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Interest in Microbiology/Chemistry or related field or commercial laboratory experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Homogenizes samples following standard protocols.
• Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, racks.
• Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
• Maintains records of all quality activities as required in Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
• Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training with Supervision.
• Maintains and verifies equipment.
