Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a 3rd shift in Memphis, TN. The role supports a 24/7 food manufacturing lab by performing tests, evaluating product quality, and documenting results. You will work with GMP, wear PPE, and follow safety and quality systems.

Opportunity to cross-train across lab functions. Responsibilities include wet chemistry procedures (titration/plating) and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field.
• Experience with laboratory testing and laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of microbiology and GMP/quality systems.
• Wet chemistry experience (titration, plating).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Adherence to PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing to evaluate product characteristics (structure, composition, pH).
• Conduct microbiological testing for pathogens, such as Salmonella.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Document results and deviations according to quality systems.
• Follow GMP and safety practices across shifts.
• Support QA activities in lab and manufacturing environments.
