Actalent in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Scientific Technician to support donor processing operations. You will perform analytical testing, operate laboratory equipment, document results, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

This entry-level opportunity is ideal for recent science graduates pursuing a career in healthcare, biomanufacturing, or laboratory operations. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, and work is fully onsite in a donor testing laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor suitability testing and routine laboratory assays.
• Conduct analytical testing using manual and automated methods.
• Analyze, document, and review test results.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality control activities and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage sample workflow and test data using laboratory information systems.
• Follow cGMP, regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with laboratory and cross-functional teams to support daily operations.
