Job summary

Alterra is seeking a dedicated team member for a seasonal expeditor/kitchen support role at Snowshoe Mountain. The position involves coordinating between kitchen and service staff to ensure timely, accurate dish delivery and maintaining high food quality through plating and presentation checks.

On-mountain housing is available, with a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefit options and on-site experiences enhance your winter season with Alterra resorts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a restaurant, preferably expeditor or other kitchen/front-of-house role.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between kitchen staff and servers for timely order delivery.
• Inspect each dish for accuracy, presentation, and portion size.
• Prioritize tickets and manage multiple tables/orders simultaneously.
• Ensure food safety standards during handling and plating.
• Communicate changes, delays, or special requests to servers.
• Assist with garnishing and final touches as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized expo station.

• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

• Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen operations.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs if needed.

• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
