Job summary

Pechanga Resort and Casino is seeking a detail-oriented Food Runner to ensure orders are prepared and presented according to outlet specifications. You will coordinate timing between kitchen and front-of-house to maintain seamless service during peak periods.

We value teamwork, reliability, and compliance with health and safety standards. High school diploma or GED is required, with hospitality experience preferred; availability for all shifts, including weekends, is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests professionally and meet their needs.
• Coordinate food orders between kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.
• Verify plate accuracy before serving and ensure proper presentation.
• Inspect dishes for quality, temperature, and portion standards.
• Communicate with chefs and servers to prioritize orders during peak times.
• Manage ticket times and pacing based on guest needs.
• Arrange and garnish plates per outlet specifications.
• Monitor ticket queues and relay special requests to kitchen staff.
• Perform side work: restocking, cleaning, and organizing dishware.
• Maintain a clean expediter area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Adhere to company policies and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
