Job summary

Wally's Wine & Spirits is seeking a dedicated Food Expeditor to bridge the kitchen and front-of-house teams in a fast-paced environment in Los Angeles. You will ensure quality and timely delivery of dishes, coordinate flow between kitchen and service staff, and maintain guest satisfaction through accurate orders and attentive presentation.

The role requires experience in expediting or food running, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask while staying organized during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in expeditor/food runner role or similar hospitality position.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay organized and focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds and staying active during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every dish meets Wally's standards for quality, presentation, and accuracy before leaving the kitchen.
• Coordinate the flow of food between the kitchen and service teams to maintain a seamless guest experience.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and food runners to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Verify special requests and modifications to guarantee guest satisfaction.
• Support the presentation and finishing touches of dishes before service.
• Manage takeout order quality and accuracy.
• Help maintain smooth service by addressing guest concerns and supporting the team as needed.
