Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Clarksville, TN is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment to perform preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures.

You will inspect, repair, and document wear, determine replacements, and respond to emergencies as part of a full-time role with varying shifts. The position involves operating heavy machinery, coordinating parts and invoices, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair equipment and fixtures; document wear signs.
• Determine replacement needs to reduce ongoing and future repairs.
• Respond to emergency calls and manage work orders and maintenance logs.
• Operate heavy machinery and ensure safety compliance; conduct pre/post operation checks.
• Coordinate parts orders, warranty claims, and costs; track orders and invoices.
