Job summary

Walmart in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment to perform preventive maintenance on food equipment and facilities. You will inspect, repair, and test equipment, document activities, and manage work orders and parts.

The role requires operating heavy machinery, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with contractors while following safety and EPA/OSHA guidelines. Shifts may vary; full-time position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs equipment and fixtures.
• Operates heavy machinery and powered equipment per safety rules.
• Responds to emergency calls and documents repair activities.
• Manages work orders, schedules, and contractors.
