Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment in Auburn/Opelika, AL to perform preventive maintenance on food equipment, inspect and repair components, and document wear signs. You will determine replacement needs and perform repairs using multiple crafts.

Read manuals, use tools, operate heavy equipment, manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and follow safety policies. On-call rotations may be required to support reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include vocational/technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• Commercial driving record with no major violations within the last 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, repair, and replace components as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls and document repair activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage work orders and maintenance logs.
