Newport Hospitality Group, Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, evening social, and banquet functions. You will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to lead the team and maintain quality and service standards.

This hands-on role involves coaching, guest service, event support, inventory management, and cost control to ensure a welcoming guest experience and adherence to brand standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of food and beverage or hospitality experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Experience in hotel restaurant, bar, banquet, or catering.
• Marriott or other select-service hotel experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead by example, manage priorities, and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and responsible alcohol service.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• ServSafe and responsible alcohol service certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain them.

Responsabilités

• Supervise restaurant, bar, evening social, and banquet services, ensuring smooth operations, cleanliness, and consistent F&B quality.
• Train, schedule, coach, and support restaurant, kitchen, bar, and banquet staff while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Coordinate event setups, food and beverage service, audiovisual needs, and breakdowns for meetings and functions.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere, respond to guest concerns, and ensure service meets brand standards.
• Assist with ordering, inventory controls, labor management, waste reduction, and monitoring F&B expenses.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards.
• Step in during busy periods to support service and cover operational needs.
