Food and Beverage Supervisor at Hilton Miami Blue Lagoon
The Food and Beverage Supervisor at Hilton Miami Blue Lagoon will oversee food and beverage operations, ensuring an excellent guest experience. The role involves maximizing sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and team engagement.
Responsibilities
- Train staff in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Compile and balance cash receipts daily or per shift.
- Handle financial activities such as cash handling and deposits.
- Supervise and participate in cleaning activities in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Resolve customer complaints related to food service.
- Control inventories of food, equipment, and liquor; report shortages.
- Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate staff and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service; document disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and standards.
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to team members.
- Conduct personnel actions, including hiring, firing, and training new staff.
- Create work schedules and organize employee time sheets.
- Recommend improvements to work procedures and staff performance to enhance service quality and safety.
- Record production, operational, and personnel data as required.
- Develop maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs for equipment.
- Greet and seat guests, present menus and wine lists, and handle reservations.
- Present bills and process payments.
Requirements
- Experience in Food & Beverage; hotel experience is a plus.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and achievement drive.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities, guest service orientation.
