The Food and Beverage Supervisor at Hilton Miami Blue Lagoon will be responsible for supervising food and beverage operations and delivering an excellent guest experience. This person will maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and team member engagement.
Responsibilities
- Train workers in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift
- Perform financial activities such as cash handling and deposit preparation
- Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities
- Resolve customer complaints regarding food service
- Control inventories of food, equipment, and liquor, and report shortages
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed
- Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards, service, and participate in disciplinary documentation
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and standards
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to team members
- Perform personnel actions, such as hiring, firing, employee orientation, and training
- Conduct supervisory activities, including creating work schedules and organizing employee timesheets
- Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance
- Record production, operational, and personnel data
- Develop equipment maintenance schedules and arrange repairs
- Greet and seat guests, present menus and wine lists
- Schedule parties and reservations
- Present bills and accept payments
Requirements
- Experience in F&B required; hotel environment experience is a plus
- Highly motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and achievement desire
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Leadership qualities, guest service orientation
