Job summary

Client Organization in Leominster, MA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a hands-on leadership role in food and beverage manufacturing. You will oversee daily production, quality, warehouse and logistics, while driving safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, production management, and a proven track record in food safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
• 2–3 years of direct supervisory/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and quality requirements.
• Proven track record managing production teams and coordinating operations.
• Experience overseeing production, quality, warehouse, and/or logistics.
• Proficient with Excel and operational reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Able to adapt to a flexible full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production, quality, warehouse, and logistics to meet targets.
• Lead and supervise manufacturing, quality, logistics staff and temporary workers.
• Coordinate schedules, daily assignments, and workflows.
• Coach and develop potential team leads to strengthen leadership.
• Align raw materials, production schedules, and orders to meet deadlines.
• Identify improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety compliance.
• Document processes and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Track performance metrics and maintain reports.
• Communicate across departments and with HR for staffing needs.
• Provide hands-on support during peak periods and busy shifts.
• Address issues proactively to maintain smooth operations.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
