Job summary

Target is seeking a Food & Beverage Expert to create a friendly guest experience on the sales floor, ensuring freshness, availability, accurate pricing and signed signage across all Food & Beverage areas.

You will work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced store, stock and rotate merchandise, assist guests, handle food safety, signage, deliveries, and backroom organization, while following Target's standards and policies. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first and freshness culture in Food & Beverage
• Food & Beverage business fundamentals, including sales trends, inventory, quality and freshness management, and guest shopping patterns
• Understanding food seasonality, freshness, quality and freshness management, and merchandising
• Working with a dynamic and fast-paced team focused on the guest experience and routinely executing the Food & Beverage Standards and best practices through individual Assignment Sheets and task execution.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests at 10ft and 4ft, assist in finding items and resolving issues, end transactions with a thank you, support peers and maintain a positive attitude
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by maintaining Food & Beverage standards and executing processes such as deliveries, replenishment, signing and organizing, and backroom management
• Follow all food safety requirements and use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
• Work with vendors to set and maintain displays and ensure correct backroom organization
• Comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws where applicable
• Maintain safety and ethical conduct and adapt to varying temperatures and guest needs
