Job summary

Target in San Diego is hiring a Food & Beverage Expert to deliver a friendly, guest‑first shopping experience across our Food & Beverage areas. You’ll ensure product freshness, assist guests, and keep shelves well stocked while upholding safety standards.

This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training is provided to help you grow with Target and serve guests effectively.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests at 10ft and 4ft with a warm interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience with a full shopping experience during all hours of operations.
• Uphold the Food & Beverage Standards and processes including replenishment, in-stocks routines, data accuracy and signing.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set up displays and organize backroom space.
• Open to working a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
