Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Part-time Food & Beverage Attendant at Meadowbrook Golf Course. You will support the golf snack bar by preparing and selling food and drinks, assisting with check-in and stocking merchandise, and helping with monthly inventories.

Shifts include evenings, weekends and holidays, with the opportunity to earn tips. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. The position has no benefits and is subject to city policies.

Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.84/hr.

Workdays & Hours: This is a part-time position with no benefits. The position will require working some evenings, weekends and holidays. A part-time Food & Beverage Attendant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department at our Meadowbrook Golf course. The position receives supervision from the Senior Food and Beverage Attendant or assigned management personnel. This position allows you to earn tips.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma/GE and no previous experience required
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail and point-of-sale experience. Knowledge and experience at a public or private golf facility
• Valid TABC certificate
• Valid City of Fort Worth Food Handler’s certificate or approved Food Handler’s certificate recognized by The City of Fort Worth

The Food & Beverage Attendant Job Responsibilities Include

• Perform a range of duties relative to the daily operations of the Golf Snack Bar including opening and closing
• Prepare and sell food and drinks
• Assist with check-in and stock of merchandise
• Prepare meals for large groups
• Assist with monthly inventories
• Follow and ensure proper cash controls are being maintained in accordance with City cash handling policies and procedures and providing exceptional customer service

Working Conditions and Physical Demand

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.

Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
