Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Program Assistant to support food distribution through the Maryland Food Bank, coordinate Snack Sack programs, and maintain monthly reports for stakeholders. The role includes transporting food and coordinating volunteers to support the Southern Maryland Food Bank outreach.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in the community/non-profit sector, and the ability to obtain a Food Safety Certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of community/non-profit experience.
• Must obtain Food Safety/Serve Safe within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Create SMFB orders for pantry members, Senior and Snack Sack programs.
• Coordinate with schools and volunteer efforts for Snack Sack program.
• Prepare monthly reports for SMFB, Catholic Charities, and stakeholders.
• Drive up to 26-foot truck to deliver and serve food.
• Represent Catholic Charities at meetings and events.
