Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Maryland Food Bank partnership, coordinating food orders, the Snack Sack program, and monthly stakeholder reports. The role involves transporting and serving food in the community and helping develop partnerships for outreach.

The position supports the Outreach Coordinator, assists with volunteer management, and ensures compliance with agency policies. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, safety and sanitation.
• Experience using PCs/windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate food orders for SMFB programs (pantry, Senior, Snack Sack, Meals of Hope).
• Coordinate volunteers to assemble Snack Sacks and support outreach activities.
• Prepare monthly reports for SMFB, Catholic Charities and stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with partners and assist with outreach and marketing efforts.
