Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the successful planning, organization, and coordination of all food and beverage activities, while providing exceptional 5-diamond service. Adherence to policies, standards, and procedures are required at all times to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance, and financial goals. The manager leads a team to a common goal for guests, colleagues, owners, and brand awareness.

Compensation: $77,000.00 - $82,000.00 annually.

Responsibilities

• Maintain presence during shifts, greet and interact with guests.
• Inspect restaurant readiness daily according to standards.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, guest comment cards, and menu engineering.
• Ensure fast, accurate service and positive guest relations.
• Maintain high standards of service and ambiance.
• Supervise tabletop presentation and service.
• Handle guest complaints diplomatically.
• Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain menu knowledge for all meal times and wine pairing.
• Manage inventory of equipment, linens, and supplies.
• Manage Profit & Loss, labor, and financial reports.
• Monitor POS system and service speed, exercise quality control.
• Schedule staff based on forecasted business within budget.
• Stay updated on industry trends.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and handle accidents.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with Engineering.
• Keep storerooms organized and clean.
• Promote good employee relations.
• Lead recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop wine lists and oversee wine service.
• Provide ongoing staff education.
• Assist on the floor as a sommelier, pairing wines with food.
• Maintain wine lists and menus.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Experience in freestanding restaurants or luxury hotels preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and liquor.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are assets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems and data analysis.
• Basic math and accounting skills.
• Energetic, entrepreneurial, and communicative.
