Responsible for all Food and Beverage production while servicing the food outlets, vending, catering, and special events. Plan and implement budgets, recruitment, training, supervise subordinates, develop effective menus, and manage payroll and food costs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements and plans effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff.
  • Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards are consistently met.
  • Ensures that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and

consistently utilized.

  • Helps plan and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department.
  • Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to, including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages and food safety and sanitation.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for food and beverage departments.
  • Monitors purchasing and receiving procedures for products and supplies to ensure proper quantity, quality, and price for all purchases as well as receiving and storage of same.
  • Reviews new techniques for food preparation and presentation in a manner and variety to maximize guest satisfaction and minimize food costs.
  • Consults with General Manager daily to help assure the highest level of guest satisfaction at minimum cost.
  • Addresses client and guest complaints and advises General Manager about appropriate corrective actions taken.
  • Develops interesting ways of promoting banquet functions in the center and VIP rooms.
  • Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special events and banquet functions.
  • Maintains appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.
  • Monitors employee dress codes according to policies and procedures.
  • Approves all product invoices before submitting them to the accounting department.
  • Manages physical inventory verification and provides updated information to the accounting department.
  • Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of the Point-of-Sale systems and revenues.
  • Maintains records of special events, house counts, food covers, and daily business volumes.
  • Audits and approves weekly payroll.
  • Works with the CEO on remodeling, refurbishment, and other cafe design enhancements applicable to the food and beverage service.
  • Manages and controls all BYOB alcohol beverage services within the facility.
  • Ensures proper inventory controls and accountability for all food and beverage department areas.
  • Works in cooperation with the Director of Sales to ensure the satisfaction of the clients.

  • Flexibility – Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible work schedule to meet various demands for concurrent projects; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Food and Beverage Director must be fluent in all aspects of food and beverage management, have knowledge of social media, and have an innate sense of hospitality. This position must possess excellent sales skills and be able to contract and manage catered events from the back of the house to the front of the house.

  • Reports to: General Manager
  • Supervises: Food & Beverage Supervisors, Bartenders, Chef, Line Cooks, Pizza Makers, and Outlet Supervisors.
  • Additional Duties: This role is hands-on and will require lifting up to 25 lb boxes, receiving deliveries, organizing walk-ins, restocking outlets, food running, cooking, expediting, and various jobs related to running an efficient food and beverage operation.

Salary Range $75,000-$80,000 plus bonus.
