Alterra Mountain Company is hiring for a Restaurant Operations Manager at Snowshoe, WV. This on-site role leads quality, service, safety, and profitability across food outlets, coordinating staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or related hospitality, with a high school diploma or GED and a commitment to team success in a resort setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of restaurant/business supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction by managing quality, service, safety, and profit.
• Develop and implement goals, policies, and objectives; oversee all operations.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of management and staff.
• Handle scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, coaching and discipline.
• Oversee managers, supervisors and staff; attend required meetings.
• Conduct training seminars (Tips, food handling, etc.).
• Ensure guest satisfaction by menu planning, pricing and events.
• Monitor labor costs and cost of goods; contribute to budget and plan.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and direction by:
  • Managing standards of quality, service, safety, and profit
  • Developing and implementing goals, policies, and objectives Overseeing all aspects of the operations under his/her direction
  • Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of management and staff
  • Carrying out all administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, counseling and discipline
  • Overseeing managers, supervisors and employees under their direction Attending all meetings as required
  • Conducting training seminars (Tips, food handling, etc.)
• Ensures guest satisfaction by:
  • Assisting in the menu planning, analysis, and pricing
  • Coordinating additional staff needs for special events and conference center business
  • Inspecting outlet(s) and employees to ensure compliance with health, safety and state regulations Addressing guest feedback concerning outlets(s) service, presentation, quality of product and overall experience
  • Creating and implementing promotions, animation and special events for the outlet(s)
• Maintains profitability by:
  • Monitoring labor costs, cost of goods sold, and other costs. Contributing to the annual budget process and business plan
• Contributes to team effort by:
  • Accomplishing related results as needed

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

• 5 years of restaurant/business supervisory or management
