Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Food & Beverage Director to lead the pre-opening phase of a luxury property in Boston. You will oversee culinary operations, design new restaurant concepts and implement sophisticated beverage programs to position the hotel competitively in the market.

This role requires strategic vision and hands-on leadership in a dynamic environment. You will recruit and develop leaders, monitor service standards, control inventories and labor costs, and forecast revenues and expenses

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Progressive F&B management experience in a hotel/venue of similar size.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening and launch new restaurant concepts.
• Develop beverage programs and manage menus.
• Interview, train, schedule, coach and support staff per brand standards.
• Monitor service, sanitation, productivity and guest satisfaction.
• Control food & beverage inventories and related equipment.
• Manage labor costs and scheduling efficiency.
• Ensure Health Department cleanliness ratings and safety compliance.
• Forecast F&B revenues and expenses; meet monthly/yearly goals.
• Develop and manage annual F&B budget.
• Implement ordering/receiving programs with price discipline.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Opportunity: Food & Beverage Director

The Strider Hotel, an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel by Hilton's Curio Collection, is preparing to become one of Boston Landing's premier hospitality destinations. We are looking for a Director of Food and Beverage to lead the pre-opening phase and manage the property's culinary operations. This leader will launch new restaurant concepts, execute complex beverage programs, and establish the hotel's competitive position in the market.

Your Growth Path

Area Food & Beverage Director – Assistant General Manager – Director of Operations

Your Focus

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Monitor performance to ensure adherence to all service standards, sanitation standards, productivity standards to ensure exceptionalguest satisfaction.
• Monitor and control food & beverage inventories.
• Maintain inventories of related food & beverage equipment.
• Monitor and control labor costs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation levels to Health Department required ratings at all times.
• Manage food preparation.
• Organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Monitor and forecast food & beverage revenues and expenses to ensure company goals are met on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Implement new menu items that will increase customer satisfaction and perception of value as well as policies and procedures for food and beverage.
• Develop and manage the annual food & beverage budget.
• Implement and monitor ordering and receiving program to ensure proper quantity and prices on all purchases.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Progressive food and beverage management experience in similar size hotel/venue required.
