La Crosse Area Family YMCA in Wisconsin is seeking a Food Access Leader to help make nutritious meals accessible to children and families. You will join the Food Access team to prepare, organize, and distribute meals while creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive experience.

The role focuses on food safety, inventory, and collaboration with the team to plan menus and sustain programs. You will engage youth and families with kindness and coordinate with meal sites to ensure smooth operations

Formación

• Food service experience or YMCA School Age experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices.
• ServSafe certification or training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

• Help set up and clean up meal service locations.
• Track meals served and maintain accurate food and inventory records.
• Monitor food safety, proper storage, and temperature requirements.
• Transport food and supplies to meal sites as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the Food Access team to plan menus and keep programs running smoothly.
• Welcome and engage youth and families with respect, kindness, and compassion.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Join the La Crosse Area Family YMCA Food Access team and help make nutritious food more accessible to children and families throughout our community. Our Food Program works to improve food access through meal programs, community outreach, and resources that help individuals and families thrive.

As a Food Access Leader , you'll work alongside our Food Access team to prepare, organize, and distribute meals while creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive experience for everyone we serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Food service or YMCA School Age experience preferred.
