Job summary

Laxymca in Wisconsin's La Crosse area is seeking School Age Leaders for a before- and after-school program based in local elementary schools. Enjoy flexible hours Mon-Fri, 6-25 hours weekly, with shifts mornings or afternoons on-site.

You'll lead engaging activities, build relationships with kids and families, supervise safety, mentor participants with positive guidance, and help distribute healthy snacks.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or at least 16 years of age with additional training provided.
• CPR certification within 3 months of hire date.
• Some childdevelopment courses or experience preferred.
• Reliability andclear communication.
• Able to workeffectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate fun and engaging group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, and STEM activities
• Build relationships with elementary students and families
• Ensuresupervision and safety of participants
• Provide mentorship for participants and maintain behaviour expectations for elementary students using positive guidance techniques
• Ensure healthysnacks are distributed daily as part of the Y's Youth Food Program

SchoolAge Leaders provide opportunities for enrichment, physicalactivity, healthy eating, and positive relationships forelementary students in a before and after-school programbased in the elementary schools in the La Crosse, Onalaska,and Holmen school districts. We are looking to grow our teamwho will influence the future of ourcommunity!

Responsibilities:

Hours andLocations:

• Positionsavailable during the school year, Monday-Friday, 6-25 hoursper week
• Canwork up to two shifts a day: 6:00-8:15 am and 3:00-6:00pm / or 2:15-6:00 pm at some locations
• SchoolAge Leaders will work on-site at an elementaryschool in the La Crosse, Onalaska, or Holmen schooldistricts
