Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a part-time Club Leader – Specialized Program to deliver Folklorico instruction at the Dewey Elementary location in San Gabriel, CA. The role focuses on safe, engaging after-school activities for up to 20 youths, with a Site Coordinator and Community Liaison providing support.

The ideal candidate has strong Folklorico background, the ability to teach regional dance styles, and a commitment to culturally rich, age-appropriate learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Certificate, portfolio, or demonstrable experience in Folklorico or a closely related traditional dance discipline.
• Experience teaching youth Folklorico or performing arts in a school, studio, community, or recreational setting.
• Ability to plan progressive, age-appropriate choreography and lesson sequences.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment (physical and emotional) and promote inclusivity.
• Develop and lead FUN, engaging activities aligned with social-emotional learning.
• Deliver high-quality instruction in Folklorico and related disciplines.
• Monitor attendance and engagement; keep participants actively involved.
• Build positive relationships with youth, staff, and families.
• Collaborate to develop culminating activities or events showcasing participant work.
