Job summary

hcaoa-careers is seeking a dependable Area Care Tech (ACT) to support clients when regular staff are unavailable. The role offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a difference in home care.

As an ACT, you will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and accurate care documentation across multiple homes. A CNA or PCA license is preferred, or willingness to become PCA; drivers with reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• CNA or PCA certification preferred, OR willingness to become PCA.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clean background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Support safe mobility and transfers.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care activities and report changes in client condition.
• Respond quickly to client needs across multiple homes.

What We're Looking For:

• Age 18 or older


• Active CNA or PCA license (preferred) OR Willing to become PCA.


• Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation


• Current auto insurance


• Clean background check and drug screening


• Willingness to travel to client homes as needed
