Job summary

Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA seeks a Jumbo Operator for the 2nd shift to manage all activities of the folder gluer, including setup, operation, cleanup, and offering improvements to operations.

The role requires manufacturing experience, ability to troubleshoot, and capability to read factory masters while maintaining quality and safety standards. Training will cover multiple box styles and production reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in the manufacturing industry running a machine.
• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Must be able to learn and assist in mechanical set up.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
