Pratt Industries, Inc. in Sandston, VA is seeking a Machine Operator - Flexo Folder Gluer, Flexo Press, Jumbo, RDC for the 1st shift.

You will be responsible for setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to production processes while meeting quality, cost and safety targets. The role requires strong attention to detail and reliability, with experience on folding/gluing equipment preferred.

This is an hourly, full-time position with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing running a machine preferred.
• Experience in corrugated industry preferred.
• Ability to learn mechanical setup and troubleshoot problems.
• Knowledge of production layouts and quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of all folding and gluing operations of the machine.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize equipment utilization by running at capacity and speed.
• Assist in training Post job positions.
• Learn to run a variety of box styles.
• Check box quality during run for mis-slots, loose liner, misprints, and defects.
