Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a bindery operator to run a range of folding, gluing and finishing equipment. You will set up, adjust and operate machines that process printed sheets into final books and catalogs, while monitoring quality, output, and safety.

The role requires coordinating with crew and handling multiple workstations to ensure timely production and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret work orders and specifications for bindery operations.
• Able to calculate distances, clearances and fits for multiple machines.
• Skilled in setting up and adjusting bindery equipment to quality standards.
• Knowledge of how coated and uncoated paper stock behaves during finishing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Folder Gluer and automatic bindery machines.
• Set up, adjust and operate auxiliary binding equipment and finishing units.
• Inspect equipment for safety and monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Direct crew and coordinate multiple work stations across a production line.
