Job summary

Nosco is seeking a Carton Folder Gluer Operator on Second shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility. You will operate our carton folding/gluing asset to finish folding carton production in a safe, efficient manner and meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include setup per SOPs, monitoring quality and efficiency, troubleshooting, and performing required tests and documentation. We value a high rate of productivity with adherence to established run speeds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years carton folder/gluer experience or equivalent machinery.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and documentation.
• Flexibility to work any shift and overtime.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64 inch.
• Physical requirements: lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a folder/gluer per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
• Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while documenting results accurately.
• Troubleshoot machine problems related to equipment and setup; perform testing as required.
• Assist in minimizing remakes by identifying problems and communicating with customer fulfillment technicians.
• Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks per SOP.
• Maintain high productivity; meet setup times and run speeds as established.

Nosco is looking for a Carton Folder Gluer Operator on Second shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.

As an employee owner in this position, you will operate our carton folding/gluing asset in order to perform the final step of folding carton production. The purpose of this position is to produce folding cartons in order to meet on time delivery, high quality expectations, and in accordance with all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

In this role, you will…

• Set up and operates a folder/gluer per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
• Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
• Troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up. Perform testing as required and understands what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
• Assists in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with customer fulfillment technicians).
• Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
• Ability to perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meets expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.

Success factors…

• Preferably +2 years of carton folder/gluer experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
• Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
• Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast pace environment with ability to deal with change.
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64\"
• Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Long periods of concentration.
• Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
