Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a Folder/Gluer Apprentice to join our 3rd shift. This role focuses on correctly setting up the feed section of the machine and assisting the operator while training across all folder/gluer functions.

You'll cross-train in varied tasks to support productivity, maintain machine cleanliness and safety, and potentially advance to a full folder/gluer operator position from the Apprentice pool. Overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up and prepare the feed section of the folder/gluer machine.
• Willingness to cross-train across multiple functions and tasks.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and operating standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up the feed section of the machine in a timely manner.
• Ensure sheets are properly placed for smooth operation.
• Maintain overall machine quality and cleanliness.
• Assist the operator during training on all aspects.
• Fill in during operator absences to keep line running.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner per company policies.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
