Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Folder/Gluer Apprentice for the 2nd shift to help set up the feed section and assist the operator. The role includes cross-training across folder/gluer duties and future progression into operator roles within the facility.

The position emphasizes safety and team collaboration, with overtime expected and a starting hourly rate of $22.78, plus benefits and training opportunities. Candidates will be evaluated for fit with our commitment to quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Cross-train in all functions and tasks with running folder/gluer machines.
• Set up the feed section of the machine in a timely manner.
• Ensure sheets are properly placed in the machine.
• Maintain overall quality and cleanliness of the machine.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set up the feed section of the machine in a timely manner.
• Ensure sheets placed in the machine are properly aligned.
• Maintain overall quality and cleanliness of the machine.
• Assist the operator during training and run the folder/gluer as needed.
• Fill in during operator absence.
