Job summary

U.S. Space Command is seeking a Government Information Specialist to oversee FOIA/PA/CL programs at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. You will evaluate requests, coordinate with DoW agencies, and advise leadership on PA requirements while handling PII breaches and preparing legal reviews.

The role requires implementing complex information laws, maintaining records and statistics, and supporting quarterly and annual reporting to the DoW division. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in FOIA/PA/CL programs and related federal laws.
• Ability to classify information and mark documents; knowledge of CUI handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and analyze FOIA requests and ensure thorough search for responsive records.
• Review exemptions for FOIA compliance and maintain request processing records; coordinate with DoW agencies.
• Advise leadership on PA requirements and manage PII breach notifications.
• Prepare legal reviews as information law paralegal for FOIA requests.
• Maintain FOIA/PA records and assist in quarterly and annual reporting.
