District Taco in Washington, DC is seeking team members for Front of House and Back of House roles. We welcome all skill levels—from cashiers to servers and hosts—or even those with no experience, as we provide training to help you grow and serve guests every day.

Core responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining a positive attitude, assisting with the menu, handling phone orders, supporting teammates, and keeping the lobby and restrooms clean.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and assisting those waiting or needing help.

• Resolving customer service issues with manager support.
• Answering restaurant phones and taking occasional orders.
• Providing support to fellow Team Members when needed.

• Managing storage areas and unpacking shipments to rotate stock.
• Washing equipment and small wares.
• Delivering food to customers and expo tasks.

• Assisting guests with the menu and altering them to potential dietary conflicts
• Resolving customer service issues with the aid of your manager
• Answering restaurant phones and taking the occasional phone order
• Providing support to your fellow Team Members whenever needed
• Maintaining the cleanliness and care of our lobby, restrooms, and patios
• Organizing of storage areas and unpacking shipments to maintain proper rotation
• The washing of equipment and small-wares items
• Bringing food to customers/expo stuff

Qualifications

• P roficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
• High level of motivation and sense of self-responsibility
• Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
• Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basis
• Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
• Stand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hours
• Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body
• Coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
• Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects for long periods without getting tired
• Lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
• Work efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g. refrigerated areas, close to cooking
