At District Taco the heartbeat of our restaurant comes from our Team Members and starts with our Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) Team Members. The ideal Team Member will be capable of managing uncertainty, willing to push the limits, and take ownership in their surroundings. We will provide the training and development you will need to feel confident in your position and ready to serve our guests every day. Core Responsibilities
- Greeting guests of District Taco and seeking out those who are waiting or need assistance
- Keeping a positive attitude and healthy enthusiasm for interactions with guests
- Assisting guests with the menu and accommodating potential dietary conflicts
- Resolving customer service issues with the aid of your manager
- Answering restaurant phones and taking the occasional phone order
- Providing support to your fellow Team Members whenever needed
- Maintaining the cleanliness and care of our lobby, restrooms, and patios
- Organizing storage areas and unpacking shipments to maintain proper rotation
- Washing equipment and small wares
- Bringing food to customers / expo duties
Qualifications
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
- Strong interpersonal/people skills
- High level of motivation and sense of self-responsibility
- Ability to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basis
- Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath
- Stand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hours
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body
- Coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects for long periods without getting tired
- Lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
- Work efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g., refrigerated areas, close to cooking equipment, etc.)
- Work as quickly as required by task demands
