Job summary

Huey Magoo’s is looking for a Front of House Team Member to create a sincere guest experience by being friendly, fast, and efficient in a customer-facing role. You will communicate clearly, handle orders, and ensure guest satisfaction in a busy setting.

Responsibilities include POS operation, order accuracy, and maintaining cleanliness. English fluency is required; multi-lingual is a plus in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Job description

Huey Magoo’s FOH Team Member are key in creating a sincere guest experience by providing a friendly and fun experience, while being fast and efficient. This position will be customer-facing. FOH Team Member should have good communication skills, as well as a sense of urgency and purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains professionalism in personal appearance, conduct, and in the completion of duties by adhering to all of Huey Magoo’s policies and procedures and holds trainees accountable for following Huey Magoo’s policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
• Through excellent hospitality, ensures our guests are delighted and cannot wait to return, recognizing opportunities to exceed expectations and “Make Someone Smile Today.”
• Maintains a knowledge of all menu items, ordering practices, and suggestive selling techniques.
• Operates the point-of-Sale system by claiming/reconciling drawers, taking orders, and collecting payments.
• Communicates with guests in person and over the phone.
• Checks order items to ensure that the order has been assembled accurately and with high quality product.
• Bags orders for To Go, 3rd Party Delivery, Drive Thru, Curbside, or Web Pickup to brand standards.
• Delivers food to guests and verifies with guest to ensure order accuracy.
• Checks on Dine In guests during their meal, pre-busses tables, and sanitizes tables after each guest, taking plates to dish pit.
• Properly cleans, sanitizes, and maintains stock in ALL areas of the Front of House.
• Prepares food and drink items for Front of House.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong communication and people skills.
• A friendly attitude. We don’t have customers; we have guests, and we need to treat them kindly.
• Ability to respond to, feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
• Ability to stoop and lift products and items over 10lbs.
• Ability to work standing for 8+ hours.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; multi-lingual is a plus.
• Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, loud, and busy environment.
• Must be comfortable counting money and giving back change.
