Job summary

Little Pops New York Pizzeria in Lisle, IL is seeking a Front-of-House Shift Lead to oversee the dining room during your shift, stepping in when management is off-duty, and lead by example to keep service smooth.

You will manage guest flow, brief the team, train new members on service standards and POS systems, handle reservations and seating, and ensure guest feedback is resolved quickly. Evening/weekend availability and a guest-first attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of shift lead/supervisor experience in casual/fast-casual or Italian-style restaurant.
• Strong front-of-house skills: hosting, serving, expo, cash handling, etc.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Outstanding communication and guest-service mindset.
• Reliable, professional, and flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food handler certification and Bassett certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Own the FOH during your shift: open/close, supervise, and support hosts, servers, and bussers.
• Conduct pre-shift team briefings and post-shift wrap-ups.
• Manage guest flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating logistics.
• Take and resolve guest feedback and minor issues quickly and professionally.
• Act as the point person for FOH operations in the absence of the GM or the Assistant Manager.
• Train and mentor newer team members on service standards and POS systems.
• Handle shift-level cash and financial closeouts accurately.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness throughout service.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and BOH teams to keep orders flowing.
