Job summary

Lightwell Hotel & Spa in Hood River, OR is seeking an experienced FOH Lead/Supervisor to drive service excellence. You will take orders, serve beverages, and provide leadership to the service team while ensuring guests enjoy a superb dining experience.

As MOD when the manager is away, you will greet guests, manage seating, handle payments, and mentor staff in a fast-paced setting. A 21+ requirement and OLCC permit are needed.

Qualifications

• One year of bartending/serving experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be 21 years or older and have OLCC permit or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently seeking a friendly hospitality professional to join our team as an FOH Lead/Supervisor at Lightwell Hotel and Spa in Hood River, OR.

As the FOH Lead/Supervisor, you will be responsible for takingorders, serving food and beverages, providing leadership to the service team, and ensuring that our guests have a positive dining experience.

• Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and multitasking skills while maintaining superior hospitality and a positive attitude.
• Keep service running smoothly, promptly handling guest issues with warmth and discretion, assisting the team throughout service.
• Assist with scheduling, assigning sections, and making appropriate service cuts.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the manager is not present.
• Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and drink orders accurately.
• Prepare and/or deliver orders to the correct guests in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in with guests and addressing any issues.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• One year of bartending/serving experience, preferably in a leadership role.

• Valid Oregon Food Handler's card and OLCC permit (or ability to obtain)
• Availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Hourly wage plus tips when eligible (tip eligible when serving or bartending, no tips when MOD)
