Job summary

Fidelity Cleveland is hiring for a Front of House Lead at Fidelity Hotel, a 97-room property in Cleveland, OH. You will lead guest services, train new staff, and maintain ambience and safety standards across the outlet.

Must hold a state-issued food handler + beverage certification and have 2+ years of front-of-house experience. Proficiency with POS systems and basic math is required. Compensation is $12 hourly plus tips with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• State-issued food handling + beverage certification required.
• 2+ years of front-of-house experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before guests and co-workers.
• Able to navigate and operate a computer and POS systems.
• Ability to apply concepts of math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

• Maintain product knowledge to inform guests and team members of specials, allergens, selling points, and recommendations.
• Assist with the training of new service team members.
• Ensure team members understand their job requirements and training; report opportunities to the outlet manager.
• Communicate shift goals and expectations to team members and conduct pre-shift.
• Maintain awareness of the outlet ambience, lighting, temperature, decor, and audio levels.
• Ensure proper attention to all guests, including VIPs, employees, investors, and frequent diners.
• Monitor staff to ensure quality service and positive energy during events.
• Provide a daily shift summary and complete end-of-day cash procedures and duties.
• Gauge guest satisfaction and respond to comments with corrective measures when needed.
• Promote guest name recognition and open communication with departments via email, logbooks, and meetings.
