Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking experienced FO jointers for a cable pull-in, testing and termination scope on a major offshore windfarm off the East Coast. This contract runs to late 2026 with a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation and visa support for eligible candidates.

Candidates must have offshore wind experience, be skilled in fiber optic joining and splicing, and hold GWO Advanced Rescue and Enhanced First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must have offshore wind experience.
• Experience as FO jointer/splicer on offshore wind projects.
• GWO Advanced Rescue & Enhanced First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of fiber optic cable jointing and splicing for wind turbine cable installation, including stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and fusion splicing of single and multi-mode fibers; manage fiber optic trays and enclosures.
• Terminate and manage fiber optic cables within distribution panels, patch panels, and other connection points inside wind turbines.
• Conduct and assist with comprehensive fiber optic testing.
• Assist with fiber optic elements during subsea pull-in operations to prevent damage.
• Ensure splicing and testing equipment is maintained, calibrated, and mobilized for offshore operations.
• GWO certification and offshore wind project experience required.

Job description

We are seeking experienced FO Jointers for work in the United States. This is for a cable pull-in/testing & termination scope on a major offshore windfarm on the east coast. This contract is set to last to late 2026 and current rotation schedule is 4 weeks on/off. If you do not currently hold a US visa, we can assist with obtaining. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE OFFSHORE WIND EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of fiber optic cable jointing and splicing for wind turbine cable installation - This includes stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and fusion splicing of single and multi-mode fibers, as well as managing and organizing fiber optic trays and enclosures
• Execute the termination and management of fiber optic cables within distribution panels, patch panels, and other connection points inside wind turbines
• Conduct and assist with comprehensive fiber optic testing
• Assist with the handling and management of the fiber optic elements during subsea cable pull-in operations, ensuring the fibers are not damaged during installation
• Ensure all fiber optic splicing and testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and mobilized for offshore operations
• Experience as an FO Jointer/Splicer on offshore wind projects
• GWO including Advanced Rescue & Enhanced First Aid
