Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Fiber Technician to install, test, maintain and repair fiber optic infrastructure. You will perform OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fiber termination, and troubleshooting to ensure high network reliability in data center, telecom or enterprise environments.

The role requires reading fiber network diagrams, maintaining testing records and working with internal teams to support installations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with OTDR testing and interpreting OTDR traces.
• Experience with fusion splicing, fiber termination, and fiber troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic networks.
• Experience using EXFO, VIAVI/JDSU OTDRs, Optical Power Meters, Light Source, and VFL.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, IP, and SONET transmission networks.
• Ability to read fiber network diagrams, maintain testing documentation, and work independently.
• Experience in data center, telecom, or enterprise network environments is highly preferred.

We are looking for a Fiber Technician with experience in fiber splicing, and fiber optic troubleshooting. The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic infrastructure while ensuring high network reliability.
